Agile and strategic planning
Sometimes, teams in companies end up in conflicts over things like strategic planning (budgets, resources, etc.) and agile development, which thrives in an environment of constant change. These two approaches might seem contradictory, but in reality, they should work together.
Personally, I believe both are essential—strategic planning keeps things structured, while agile development makes teams adaptable. The real challenge is finding the right balance.
For example, plans need to be revisited regularly, which adds extra work for management. But that’s just how things work—strict deadlines often lead to rushed code and lower product quality. Agile helps here by creating a workflow where teams adapt to changes smoothly while maintaining a steady pace and consistent quality.
At the same time, without budgeting and a clear vision, it's impossible to manage resources properly or launch the right processes at the right time. Without some form of planning, developers can easily get stuck on non-essential tasks, delaying real business value. And if that goes on for too long, resources dry up fast.
